Your Hosts

Our household consists of ourselves and our two children Matthew and Stuart, our cat (Peebles), a turtle and a small bundle of fluff who thinks she's a dog (Storm).

Jan trained in New Zealand as an occupational therapist and has specialised in the area of mental health. Her interests include keeping fit, gardening and reading.

Keith runs a small company involved in the telecommunications industry. His interests include music, fishing, reading and motorcycles.

Our home is full of music, movies and books and is a great place to relax. We also love the outdoors and bought our home because of the well established private garden and its closeness to the sea, the river and the many beautiful walks nearby.

We enjoy meeting people and have found that when we have travelled it is the people we met with their local knowledge that has really enhanced our holidays. This is why we will try to make your stay with us as refreshing and well informed as possible.

Waikuku Bed and Breakfast

We would like to announce that we have received a sum of money from the Government to provide Earthquake related respite. In many instances this can be provided at no cost. If you are in need of a break from Earthquake affected Christchurch please contact us for availability information. We look forward to give you a much needed break.

Waikuku Beach Bed and Breakfast would love to welcome you to our little slice of heaven situated just north of Christchurch, the main city in New Zealand's spectacular South Island.

Waikuku Beach is a quiet seaside haven only a few minutes from the many attractions of Christchurch. It is an even shorter drive to the up-and-coming wine district of Waipara, and no more than two hours by car from a couple of the must-see places of the South Island - Hanmer Springs thermal resort and the coastal town of Kaikoura, known internationally for its whale-watching tours.

We would love to hear from you and hope you'll be able to stay during your South Island holiday. We can assure you a warm welcome, comfortable and spacious accommodation, and a quiet night's sleep away from the bustle of the city.
